Lobby Redesign

This major redesign of a condominium lobby was a true labour of love taken on by the Board of Directors of the building. Starting with the 1970's look of wall to wall smoked mirrors, navy and green printed inlaid carpet, and green leather furniture, outdated lighting, even the popcorn ceiling... everything had to be updated.

Lynda's Fine Design created colour boards with a generalized look which was fine tuned as the project took shape.

Mirrors were taken down, walls reshaped, coffered ceilings installed along with elegant lighting, a new floor to ceiling tiled fireplace for ambiance and custom inlaid carpet all added to a sophisticated and inviting lobby.

Of course, new custom furniture was placed to add comfort to the space.

Once completed, the residents were thrilled. A once uninviting, dark lobby had been transformed to a light, modern meeting place.

The other advantage was that any units sold after the lobby was renovated, gave the seller a much higher asking price which the market easily accommodated.
